‘Baudhkāro’ is a Dhamma musical band that strives to propagate the Ambedkarite – Buddhist socio-political and cultural ideas. बौधकारो = One whose duty is to awaken a prince with music and song (बोध + कर). [Pali-English Dictionary, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar] We believe in the cultivation of mind and the reclamation of the human personality which seeks the establishment of Liberty, Equality & Fraternity. Our vision is to further, through our music, the Ambedkarite movement that propagates Dhamma, recreating a just, humane and happy world.

Baudhkaro Team
Baudhkaro Krittika (PhD) is a scholar and professor of Performing Arts and English. She is a professional Odissi dancer who is working towards establishing a Buddhist canon in Odissi. A trained Hindustani Classical singer, Krittika is one of the founding-members of Baudhkaro.

Baudhkaro Diksha Shahakar is a Mechanical Engineer who has also pursued a BA from Ramnarain Ruia college, Mumbai. She has a YouTube channel called "Strings and Keys". Her experiences with Sangha (TBM) gatherings and NNBY conventions has led her to connect with Baudhkaro and spread the Ambedkarite culture in the most beautiful way.

Baudhkaro Vruttant (PhD) is a Political Scientist whose research deals with the themes on Tolerance, Democratization & Respect. Professionally he works as a lecturer & researcher. He is a talented percussionist who leads Baudhkaro as a founding member. Vruttant is also a poet and most of Baudhkaro's original compositions are written by him.
